Design
The Kingston Hyper x Cloud II headset comes with an optional USB sound card module. The cable is relatively short and measures about 3 feet. This cable ends in a 3.55mm plug. However, the cable that comes with the USB plus is twice as long and has a USB plug at the end of it. To avoid the tangling of wires, the Cloud II headset offers braided cloth for both cables.
The build quality is good, and the headset is attractive. The Kingston HyperX Cloud II are over-ear headphones that are good at providing comfort. The left earcup has a boom mic, which can be detached. You also don’t need to worry about the hole where the mic was as the Cloud II comes with a small rubber plug to hide it.
The earpads come with memory foam and sit just right on your head. When you move the earcups, you can hear clicks at specific points due to the solid metal joints that connect the earcups. The cable is non-removable and connects to the left earcup. The boom mic is made of metal and has foam at the end as a windscreen.
Connections and Accessories
With the USB sound card module, you get volume controls for the mic and headphones, a switch you can slide to mute the mic, and a button to turn on/off the 7.1 surround sound. It also comes with a shirt clip to prevent it from dangling.
The Cloud II headset also comes with a nylon carry bag and a pair of extra ear pads made of more breathable material. This is a good point for the Cloud II since many headsets don’t offer customizable earpads.

The designers have considered the user’s comfort level as a priority, covering the padding on the headband with the leatherette. This could stabilize the headset keeping it securely in place without putting in extra pressure. Semi-soft padding material is used for ear cups transforming an overall comfortable audio experience.
The design features a decent amount of space for people with relatively larger ears with an extending range of earcups having a length of about 2.5 inches and 1.5 inches of space.
The best part about these is the inclusion of two sets of ear cups. The first set is covered in leatherette, while the other is covered in velour. You can match any of these ear cups with your Cloud II according to your personal preferences, which makes these headsets even more user-friendly.
Audio
Kingston HyperX Cloud II has this balanced sound quality that takes you to another world with its performance. It has the measurement of all the sound levels having treble tones with a minor emphasis on the bass. Cloud II offers an immersive experience in any game type. However, you’ll find that vocals get frequently lost with a slight subdue in the middle range.
