If you are one a racing games lover, you must have heard of Gran Turismo or you might have played it. This is one of the best gaming franchises. The next version of this sport delayed its releases and its all supported accessories got released already. One of those is Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition. That includes a steering wheel that will give the best racing experience.
Here we will be reviewing Thrustmaster T300RS GT edition with its all supported components and features it comes up with. Its material and connection to play station and PC is marvelous and has a very high-quality motion sensor to produce the real-time feel of racing.
Like T300RS the previous version, T300RS GT Edition is a very well-designed device and it includes 3 major components. You will have a set of pedals, steering bases, and removable wheels. However, the company modified this GT edition to set it apart from Thrustmaster T300RS. This edition comes up with a three-pedal layout in place of accelerator and brake with adjustable metal pedals.
The product finish and the coloring scheme very well match the racing environment. The smoothness while playing the game will have no match for this. The black finish and the component coating material are sturdy that will give the feel of real car equipment feel.
Performance it offers
When I was testing this Thrustmaster T300RS GT edition with racing games like DiRT Rally and Assetto Corsa, I attached the racing chair with it – I have to confess that I had the best gaming I’ve ever had. The road texture and the other environmental effects can be felt in real-time with this package. Unlike T500RS, the pedals it comes up with are attached to the wheels, I might change when wheels are at some angle. Also, the pedals shifter is not that much mechanical and rigid.
If you have a play seat, the will more accurate and more sturdy. However, the plastic base and mounting of the pedal might feel a little flimsy. You might feel the awkwardness that what the purpose of the clutch is if there is no gearing stick at all. But you can buy extra gearing equipment to attach to the GT edition. Clutch will work fine and the other pedals also.
Features it comes up with
The steering base is similar to the standard T300RS that can offer 180-degree rotation while playing games. The force feedback feature is controlled by a brushless motor and the supporting dual belt system. The base of the GT edition also uses Thrustmaster quick release system that allows you to put any wheel face.
The wheel itself looks pretty the same as the T300RS, you will have the difference of logo. In GT edition there is the Gran Turismo logo instead of play station. There are many similar features like joypad buttons including the sharing button and rubberized, grispy service. But you will have a different but better pedal performance with smoother click for changing gears.
