Customer’s Review from Amazon: I always purchase Seagate for spinning hard drives. Some do fail more than others. Mostly it’s due to bad sectors. But, I can still perform data recovery from them. I use to own Western Digital hard drives. They usually have a more… “consistent” read/write performance compared to a Seagate drive. However, when a WD drive failed, it’s usually a dead motor or hard drive clicks. This would make them virtually impossible (for me) to perform data retrieval. Other brands that I’ve tried like Hitachi weren’t too bad. Your experience might be different. So,. I would stick with whatever brand works for you. Again, I purchase hard drives based on price and value. This purchase seems to “fit the bill”.
